squat

Squat: This is one of the most important exercises for the whole thigh, gluteus included. The exercise has to be done with back straight.

  

stiff-leg

Stiff-leg deadlift: It is the best exercise to stimulate the big gluteus. Keep back straight and knees wide apart

    

hack squat

Hack squat: Stinulation is better if the machine is adjusted accommodating near full range of motion without forcing hips to rise at waist. The execution is similar to squat, but the back is better preserved and the weight is the same during the all exercises.
