- Femoral quadriceps exercises -

 

front squat

Contrary to squat, this version reduces the weight and stimulates the thighs more than the lumbar region.

  

leg extension

This is an exercise for the front part of the thigh. Leg extension should be complete.

    

leg press

This exercise allows to train thighs without straining the spinal column. The back and the pelvis should lean completely on the seat. At the beginning of the exercise legs should be slightly bent. 

   

hack squat

Similar to and as effective as squat, in this exercise the spinal column is not strained and the effort remains the same during the whole exercise.

    

squat

Quadriceps-front and rear- and gluteus too are stimulated. Keep the back straight during the exercise. In the version with legs apart internal part of thighs is stimulated too.
